There are a few projects that I have on the go right now. Click the links to find the patterns.
The tunisian knit stitch top I’ve been working on for months now hasn’t gotten any farther. I think I can officially classify this one as hibernating for now. Hopefully, I’ll get back to it someday soon.
I’m making good progress on this Chevron Lace Cardigan. It’s the second one I’ve made from this pattern. I strongly suspect I’m going to be playing yarn chicken with it though.
Another project I’m just sort of winging is this poncho. It doesn’t look much like a poncho yet but it will. I’m using Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball and I just love the colour changes in it. So pretty. 🙂
I’ve finally finished this baby set. Here we have the Loopy Love blanket, sweater, and hat from Moogly. They’re adorable and I can’t wait to send them.
Having finished one baby sweater, I’ve started work on another. This one is for a boy so I get to use something other than pink for a change. No picture of it yet though since there’s not really much to see yet.
I haven’t finished any more squares for Firefly CAL yet. I’m about three weeks behind now. 😛 Oh well, maybe this week….
Here is a peak at what I’ve been up to lately. Some of these are new projects while others I feel like I’ve been working on forever.
Scarf. Pretty straight forward I guess. This one I just started a few days ago.
Baby sweater. Just needs sleeves and it will be done.
This week’s square for the Firefly CAL.
The top I started ages ago. It doesn’t look like it’s grown at all but I swear it has. 🙂
My latest doll. She now has a full body and a shirt. The clothes always seem to take me the longest to make.
And my virus blanket. I first posted this one back before Christmas. It’s definitely grown since then though it was hibernating for a while. It’s getting big enough that it’s hard to get a good picture of it.
That’s it for now. I’m sure I’ll find something else to start soon enough. 🙂
I’ve finished the first square in the Firefly CAL.
It’s the Serenity! I realize it came out as a rectangle instead of a square but I think it looks fine. I guess my stitches are just a bit taller than they are wide. 🙂
I’m using tunisian simple stitch instead of the mini corner to corner that the graphs are written for so mine are bound to come out looking a bit different.
This week’s squares are available now on the Two Hearts Crochet blog. They are Jayne’s hat and River’s axes. I’m planning to make both and I’ve already started on Jayne’s hat. Pictures will follow, I promise. In the meantime, why not head over to Two Hearts Crochet and check out the rest of the upcoming squares for the CAL?
I seem to have fewer projects on the go this week than I did last month.
Currently I have these cup cozies. I’m not sure how many I’ll end up making. They make good travel projects for on the train. These are the only thing in this post that has an actual pattern, found here on Ravelry.
Then there is this baby blanket. Just basic corner to corner. I love this stitch because it works up so quickly and has a neat texture to it.
This will someday be a top in tunisian knit stitch. With super fine yarn and a 4mm double ended tunisian hook it’s slow going but I’ll get there eventually.
And last but not least is a sneak peak of the doll I’m working on. No, it’s not Princess Leia. 🙂
That’s all for now. Aside from the Firefly CAL of course but I’ll be posting about that again soon.
Hello crafty people. 🙂 Its only been a week since my last post but I think I can do better than that. We’ll see…
I have started the Firefly CAL over at Two Hearts Crochet. https://twoheartscrochet.com/crochet-along-projects/firefly-cal/
If anyone is wondering, CAL stands for Crochet-A-Long. All these wacky acronyms people throw around on the internet…
My progress so far isn’t exactly breathtaking but I haven’t had to rip it out yet so its going quite well. 🙂 Five rows down, 45 more to go. New squares a published weekly with the next one due on the 10th so I guess I should get hooking on this one or I’m going to end up behind.
The Two Hearts blog has a ton of free and geeky patterns, including several CALs. I used a couple of squares from their Star Wars CAL to make a pillow for Christmas and I’m eyeing the Doctor Who CAL as well. Check out the blog at: https://twoheartscrochet.com/ and maybe find some inspiration for your next project.
It’s been a busy week around here and I’ve started more projects than I’ve finished. First of is this scarf for my daughter:
The pattern for it can be found here:
I’m making the scarf in worsted weight so it’s quite a bit wider than origonally intended.
Next is this Mini Moogly baby sweater from my favourite blog:
I’m also working on a baby blanket, a halloween basket made with that pumpkin orange yarn, a slouchy hat that may or may not work out, and the scarf and two blankets I had on the go the last time I posted my works in progress. I think I have a serious problem with seeing something I like and having to start it right away. Maybe I should stop browsing the internet for patterns.. Nah, who am I kidding. I’m addicted. 🙂
I can’t be the only one, right?
Back in my first post I mentioned have a lot of projects on the go and that this blog could possibly provide some incentive to get them finished. I realize that might work better if I actually post some of them so here are a handful of my works in progress. Excuse the pictures. The light in my living room is terrible.
This doll is being made from my Emma pattern. The plan is to have her finished by this weekend. Of course, things rarely go according to plan around here.
A C2C style scarf I’m making from some leftover yarn. I might even have enough yarn to finish it… 🙂
I’ve literally been working on this blanket for months. It’s about half done now and has been at that point for at least a month. I’m lacking in motivation for this one because I know I don’t have enough yarn. 😛
This pattern is hugely popular on the internet now and it’s gorgeous so I just had to jump on board. The pattern can be found here: Virus Blanket. It’s a fairly simple four round repeat so it goes pretty quickly once you get the hang of it. Then again, I did rip back multiple rows several times until I got it right so maybe it’s not that quite that simple after all. Or maybe I just can’t count. That is also a possibility….
I think four projects are enough for now. There are more hiding in various bins but I don’t have pictures of them. It’s probably time to reorganize my bins. This batch of projects will likely be blog posts when I do finish them. If you haven’t seen them go up by Christmas, feel free to ask about them. 🙂
