I am alive 🙂 and I will post more often now that the holiday madness and new year drama are over. Part of the reason it’s taken me so long to get a new post up is that I’ve been having a hard time deciding what to post first. I’ve been pretty busy lately you see… So I figure I’ll start off with the Christmas present I couldn’t post earlier.
First, we have the 4th Doctor’s scarf:
Next is the blanket for my daughter:
A Star Wars themed pillow for my son:
A convertible hat for my God-daughter:
And a hat and scarf for my mother-in-law:
That’s about it for Christmas presents. Next post: more about that convertible hat.
I spend far more time than I probably should surfing the internet. A lot of the time is spent on crochet related sites. As the title of the post suggests, here are a few of my favourites:
- This site has tons of free patterns and tutorials. If you are looking to learn ow to crochet, this is a good place to start.
- By Hook and by Hand
- She makes beautiful doll with a variety of techniques, including crochet. Again, lots of free patterns. I learned a lot from this site when I started making dolls.
- Tales of Twisted Fibers
- This is another site with lots of dolls and other amigurumi. They’re all so adorable.
- This site is awesome if you’re interested in any sort of fiber arts. It requires registration but it’s free and it won’t spam you. There are thousands of knit and crochet patterns in the database, many of which are free. You can post your own projects as well. There are groups relating to just about any topic you can think of and there are plenty of people willing to help if get stuck on a project.
So you have a favourite website you like to visit regularly? Feel free to share it in the comments.
